The ORIGINAL Model
The ORIGINAL model is a robust and reliable all-around articulating arm for general applications and fumes, dust, where there is little to no electrical discharges or attack by aggressive chemicals. The extraction arm is shown fitted with a multi-purpose transparent hood.
The new generation of Nederman BenchTop arms is available in 2, 3 and 4 in. (50, 75 and 100 mm) versions with corresponding capacity ranges of:

Aluminum White Powder Coated Hood

The powder-coated white metal hood is made of aluminum and is designed to capture contaminants. It is capable to handle aggressive fumes, high temperatures, and corrosion resistance, and dust splatter.
It can be attached to the exhaust hood of any size articulating arm.
Transparent Flange Hood

Transparent flange hood, made of PET-G plastic, is designed to maximize the capture zone without hinder objects on the bench or the user. It can be attached directly on minihood, irrespective of arm size.

Are designed to exhaust contaminants with low energy. The transparent combi hood is made of PET-G plastic.
It can be attached directly to the lab exhaust snorkels regardless of the size of the arm.
Handles on both sides of the hood make it maneuver easier.

You need to add the “43+ inch additional tube extension” which can be cut down to size to go thru the drop ceiling. You can also add the “ceiling cover plate” that will conceal the hole, but it is not required; it is only for aesthetic purposes.
